How to work your watch

It will state in the item description wether the watch is 'self wind' or 'quartz'.

​

Quartz watches are powered by a battery, when your watch stops ticking simply get the battery replaced by a watch specialist. 

​

Self wind watches are not powered by a battery and will require you to wind it by hand to keep it ticking. Here is how:

​

Step 1

Firstly, take your watch off. It's important not to wind your watch whilst wearing it, or whilst walking or moving, as this can confuse the mechanism of the watch.

Step 2 

Wind the crown around 30 times in a clockwise motion to charge it.

​

Step 3 

Set the time. Pull the crown out to set the time by moving the crown either clockwise or anticlockwise.

​

Caring for you'r watch

We hand clean and polish each watch before it is shipped out to you so your watch will be ready to wear when you receive it.

​

Our watches are mostly vintage so should all be handled with care. A cleaning cloth is provided with each watch to help you keep it in its best condition.
